Lost Eyes
A garden of eyes—watching, searching, remembering. Some remain wide open, filled with stories yet to be told. Others have closed, their vision stolen, leaving behind only the weight of their absence.
There is a quiet tension between what is seen and unseen, between presence and loss. The open eyes seem to follow you, questioning, witnessing, refusing to be forgotten. The closed ones, though silent, still exist—rooted in the garden, held in memory.
Reflections shift on the surface, drawing the viewer into the piece. Are you being watched, or are you the one watching? In this landscape of sight and blindness, the boundary between observer and subject blurs, making the unseen impossible to ignore.
This work is in honor of the men and women who lost their eyes in Iran—those who stood against oppression, daring to dream of a life where freedom is not a crime. Though their vision was taken, their presence remains, forever woven into the fabric of resistance and hope.
